The Team

Our dedicated team ensures the right support for people in Hertfordshire affected by an acquired brain injury (ABI).

John Archer – CEO

John is an experienced charity leader who has been our CEO since November 2016. Before joining the charity world, John had a long career in business acquisition and automotive technology. John is passionate about helping people affected by a brain injury – both those recovering and their carers.

Jo

Joanne Whittle

Jo is Headway’s administrator and helps keep our office running smoothly. She also co-ordinates our volunteers, counsellors, and manages our new Ambassador program.

Melanie Mair

Mel is our Finance Manager, ensuring our income and expenditure are robustly monitored and managed.

Occupational therapists

Sarah, Anna, and Tanya work as Occupational Therapists and run Headway Hertfordshire’s HABIT programme. Annette focuses on the educational workshops connected to Habit, as well as delivering training to Adult Care Service staff and carers’ workshops.
They work closely with clients hoping to return to some form of employment, training, voluntary work, or other meaningful activity. They all thoroughly enjoy helping our individual clients reach their goals and regain their independence.
